Frequently Asked Questions
Quicklime (CaO) is produced by burning limestone from the quarry. When it reacts with water, heat is released and it converts to hydrated lime (Ca(OH)2). Both products have different application areas.
AKAY NHL 5 is 100% pure natural hydraulic lime. It is breathable, steam-permeable and resistant to chloride, salt and moisture. Tested by KURAM according to TS EN 459-1/459-2: 1.56 MPa flexural strength, 5.49 MPa compressive strength.
For palletised bag shipments, minimum 1 pallet (25 bags x 25 kg = 625 kg). For bulk and big-bag orders, truck capacity applies. Exports are negotiated on a container basis.
